Reefermatics
Reefermatics is a complete satellite-based tracking and monitoring solution for refrigerated assets including trailers, containers, trucks and rail cars. It gives logistics companies transporting perishable goods in-transit visibility of the refrigeration system as well as GPS position reports.
How it works
The Reefermatics System connects directly to the reefer system's microprocessor and is simple to install with virtually no maintenance. There are several additional sensor options such as door opening and fuel monitoring (rapid fuel loss monitoring). Status messages are set at pre-determined schedule (daily or hourly for example) and can be requested (polled) or schedule modified as and when the asset owner requires. Alarm messages coming from the refrigerated assets microprocessor are received by the Satamatics network within seconds and routed to the assets owner. On some refrigeration systems, the Reefermatics system has the ability to remotely start or set the set-point temperature.
